Questions or requests: support@fourchords.uk
Four Chords is designed to be played without an account. We don’t ask for your name, email, or any sign-in.
If you submit a name, that name and your time and score appear on the public daily leaderboard so other players can see the day’s rankings. If you’d rather not appear by name, leave the name blank or use a nickname.
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which helps keep Four Chords free. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Depending on your consent, these ads may be personalised or non-personalised.
For users in the UK and EEA, we ask for your consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set, using a consent prompt. You can change your choice at any time, and you can manage Google’s use of your data at myadcenter.google.com. More about how Google uses information from sites that use its services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We rely on the following providers to run the game; they process data on our behalf:
Our providers (such as Google) may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK’s adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Leaderboard entries are retained as part of the game’s records. They contain only a self-chosen display name and game statistics, with no contact details or account information. Anything stored on your device remains until you clear it.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our use of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email support@fourchords.uk. Because play is anonymous, we may need additional information from you to locate any data relating to you.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Four Chords is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
